My PC: Running Windows XP SP 2 Windows Media Player Version 11

Rip Music CD to Computer using Windows Media Player

Step 1
Download the latest version of Windows Media Player.
MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) is a Windows service
that requires the use of Windows Media Player, a media
program that comes built-in to every copy of Windows.

Step 2
Set up your library. Open Windows Media Player.
Click the arrow under “Library” and then select
“Add to Library…” from the drop down menu.

Step 3
Connect your Android phone to a PC with a USB cable.

Step 4
Once the phone is detected in Windows Media Player, you will be given an option to name the phone. This name will be displayed in Windows Media Player whenever the phone is connected.

Step 5
Select the music you want to move over to your phone.

Album copied from Windows Media Player to Phone
However, for some reason, the music will not play.
Is there a special music app needed (from play store)

Note: Netflix and Youtube
Video and Audio work great

What format are you ripping your music to (mp3, etc)? After you've ripped the track, can you play the ripped track on your Windows computer? Where on your phone is the music (what directory/folder)?

I'd like to help, but there's insufficient info to do so.

One really versatile player for Android is BS Player. You could download that app and see if it will play the track.

Not all Music Apps are created equal!

One really versatile player for Android is BS Player.
You could download that app and see if it will play the track.

Went to Play Store and installed BS Player.
It plays the albums from My Music Library.
However, the free version has lots of ads.
I found another app called VLC for Android
that will play from my library. (Ad free)
So far these are the only two apps that work
I have no idea if my phone came with a
default music player. I`ll call to find out.

Elan I appreciate your help. Thank you.

You should have Android's music player -- Google Play Music. The icon is typically a set of headphones.

Google Play Music App

When I click on Settings - Then Apps - I get a list
of apps that came with the phone in A to Z order

It shows
Google Play Music Orange Headset
Version 6.0 38.59 MB 1/30/2015

I can pull it up in google play store
Click - Hit Open - Listen Now - Play

Then
When I try to open my album songs
I get Music playback error (message)
Couldn`t play the track you requested

Strange

Hard to say what's going on. Was your first attempt to move music to your phone successful? If not, there may be remnants of files that Google Play Music is trying to play instead of the full tracks. You could try going into that app and clearing the cache to see if that works. It seems that something got corrupted along the way.

Best free offline gps navigator for Android

8 of the Best Offline GPS Maps Apps for Android - by Chris P./ News/ phonearena.com

"As much as we appreciate Google's extensive Maps app, it's got a very serious weakness that has allowed relatively smaller companies to compete: offline navigation.

Sure, nowadays Google Maps allow you to cache a piece of a map for later use, but the size limitation simply won't cut it for most. Especially if you're touring another country, and are looking at ludicrous roaming charges for data, or, for example, if you're the wilderness type and need something really solid to rely on during your outings.

Thankfully, the Play Store does not want for offline navigation maps, of which there are plenty. Many of them are free, but many also have some type of limitations to them that the developers have put in order to motivate you to buy the full version. In any case, find below 5 of the best offline navigation apps for Android that we picked for you..."

I use 'Here' maps offline. Just download the ones you want- preferably on Wi-Fi. They're pretty big files.

How to Disable auto play videos on Facebook

This morning while watching the news on television
I learned how to turn on, off, and auto play videos
that come up in news feed when on Facebook.

The Fox 5 TV anchor did a step by step demo
Here are the basic steps for Android 5 system

Turn on Cell Phone
Open Facebook APP
Look for three BARS and tap on them
The bars are located top right on my phone
Scroll down to App SETTINGS and tap
Tap Video Play Automatically
Select ON, WI-FI only or OFF

Choosing the right setting can save time and money
(especially if you do not want to watch every video)
when you are not on wi-fi and using a data plan.
