Somehow my computer has switched to defaulting to Internet Explorer. How do I get it back to defaulting to Firefox? Thanks in advance!

Running on Windows 7, Firefox version 6.0.2

Update to Firefox 7.0.1 (the newest) & choose "make default" during install.

You could also change it by the system settings but you should get the upgraded version anyway so kill two MS bad settings with one simple download!

Diane, Firefox and Internet Explorer are browsers, not search engines. John is right, you should go to Mozilla and download the latest FF. It will ask you if you want to make it your default browser. I also have Google Chrome in there, but FF is my default. Then, it will transfer all your shortcuts, favorites, bookmarks to the new FF. You will see a small arrow in the search window that will allow you to choose whatever search engine you like. I show 4 or 5 there plus Wikipedia.

Kinda fun customizing a new computer, isn't it?

Thanks Guys! I knew search engine wasn't the right word but was drawing a blank. Again. Sigh.
