How to cruise and enjoy Wyndham?

Hi

My family really enjoys cruising but we also own a good amount of Wyndham points. We have found that we don't use all our Wyndham points every year because we cruise as well. We often credit pool points or transfer them to RCI... Any suggestions on how to maximize the points for cruises?

Well, we have pretty well ascertained that exchanging RCI points for cruises is a lousy use of MF dollars, so the question is: How much do the Wyndham points cost in MF? And How much discount from a cruise of your choice, will Wyndham, or your chosen cruise line give you, compared with the cash price of the cruise at a discounter like vacationstogo? That's your dollars and cents answer.

Like you, we are cruising more than we did when we started timesharing and have more points banked than we want to use. The brutal truth is that we simply own too many timeshares.

It's probably time to 'thin the herd'.

DW and I typically book a nearby Wyndham stay on the front and or back end of cruises, it takes the pressure off traveling on embarkation days and eases transitions home. I know thats not what you were asking but it may be a way of enhancing the experience and maximizing your Wyndham points.
