Hello all: I am very new to this. This is what I wanted to do:

I want to take my seven year old daughter to Disneyworld and on a Disney cruise. I have approximately 400 Vacation Internationale points. I know I need to exchange those and buy something else but I don't know exactly what. Should I be looking to buy more VI points (knowing I will have to exchange for II or RCI) or should I try to buy some of those points directly?

Also, how much mileage can I get from points for a week in Orlando plus the cruise?

Thanks for helping a neophyte...

I don't think that buying a timeshare will help you with a cruise at all - especially a Disney Cruise, which is expensive. I would plan the cruise, and the timeshare stay separately.

Generally, when you exchange a timeshare for a cruise, you have to give up your timeshare week PLUS pay a high fee, which is just about as much as the price of a discounted cruise - so it's not a good value.

I have approximately 400 Vacation Internationale points. I know I need to exchange those and buy something else but I don't know exactly what.

I'd start by finding out if you can use these points to reserve a week in Orlando.
