Every time when we check in at a wyndham resort, after get our room key, we were asked to get our parking label. there we were pressured to attend their meeting even we already very tired of the long trip. We don't want to go to their meeting (we learn much more info and real truth from this BBS), and we definitely don't like the pressure they put on us. How can we avoid this? can we just get the room key and leave immediately? is the parking label really matters?

Just say no. And keep saying it.

Do not let them talk too much, cut them off. Just say I am not going, I am not buying another timeshare, you are wasting your time and mine by pursuing me. Can I please have my parking pass now. Second time, did you not understand what I said? I need my parking pass. Third time your supervisor please, I want to make sure I have all your names right when I report you for harassment. I have never had to use the third time.

No means no. There should be a #MeToo movement for parking pass people. These people try to be into your pants pockets through the sales weasels.

Just say no, don't think about it, or pretend that you might be interested. A firm NO or two will do the trick.

I never get the parking pass unless required for gate entry (like Clearwater). I honestly can't fathom any Wyndham employee taking the time call a towing truck. Once I have my room key I just walk right by the parking pass table completely ignoring their existence except when I'm in Grand Desert in Vegas I'll walk by and wink at them then just keep going to piss them off. Once in the room I unplug all the phones. I treat them how they treat me and much worse...

We usually get the parking pass and either say no or actually go to the sales meeting to get the gift. Our favorite gift is 25,000 Wyndham Rewards points on the Wyndham Barclays card. That more than pays for a night's stay at any Wyndham owned motel where we often stay en-route to our next Wyndham resort destination.

Of course if you go to the sales event it's more saying 'no'.

Oh, and sometimes I forget to put the parking pass on the mirror which proves out that Wyndham doesn't really check hang tags in the garage.

No. I always tell them that I have as many TS as children, only purchase resale, and will not leave my children w/ strangers. Then I unplug the phone.

The room key opens the parking gate at Kauai Beach Villas which is now being operated by Wyndham. On our last two stays there, I have deliberately refrained from displaying the parking pass with absolutely no adverse consequence. I got the parking passes mostly to be polite to the folks working there because they know us.

Unplug phones in the room. Sometimes if they give me my keys first I write down my office number so they aren't calling my cell. But, if you are a shy person and don't like being upfront with people.....the trick "my spouse (husband/wife) is not with me" ALWAYS works like a charm. @spackler

Seriously, my husband can be standing 2 feet from me and I just say my husband will not be joining us. If my husband checks in, he'll say the same about me. They won't bother calling after that.
