We have not been in several years and it seemed like a long time back then.

It really depends on how many flights are leaving. We are there 3/4 times a year and I never remember it being more than a half an hour.

A coin flip. Just like arrivals, you'll find out when you get there. It can be quite fast, and it can also be very slow. You didn't mention the airline you're flying, but that has a lot to do with it.

They want you there 2 hours early, and it's never really needed.

We got through last year within 30 minutes. This year we are hoping for the same. On arrival on 9/18 we got through customs and immigration really fast. Getting the luggage was the biggest delay. We had to wait about 15 minutes after getting through customs for the luggage.

We've gone through in 15 minutes as well as 2 hours and 35 minutes.

As mentioned, it's impossible to know ahead of time.
