We with be flying from Kauai to The Big Island with a change of planes in HNL. How much time should we allow in HNL for the connection? I'm not sure if we will be doing any checked luggage or not. If we do checked luggage, will the luggage be automatically transferred in HNL or will will need to collect it and recheck?

I agree 60 mins should be sufficient. The luggage should be checked through to the Big Island, you would not have to deal with it. I'm assuming you're on Hawaiian Air?

Any thoughts on Kauai to Molokai(round-trip)?
Are airfares between the two islands the same every day?

You can't get a flight direct to Molokai from Kauai. To get to Molokai, you have to fly Mokulele Airlines. It would be Kauai to Oahu and Oahu to Molokai. The only direct flights to Molokai are from Oahu and Maui.

And flights are usually the same every day. Mokulele used to have two larger planes that were used on the Oahu to Molokai flight but they are both down for repairs.
