within the next 7 - 8 months, we will have time/opportunity to visit 3 MVCI properties. what are the limitations on attending too many presentations within such a short period of time? i know one resort I am visiting has a policy where you cannot attend a preview tour at that one resort more than once every 12 months.

the three resorts I am thinking about visiting are Newport Coast, Timber Lodge, and Maui Ocean Club

Not sure of restrictions, but we did one in March at SurfWatch and one in November at Grand Chateau.

I think it depends on where you are going and what sales office you are dealing with. In Orlando we were told that we couldn't tour if we had toured in the last six months. In fact during our last Orlando visit they didn't even call us to solicit a tour as we had toured elsewhere recently. Others have reported different policies elsewhere though.

It is dependent on the TS. We heard about the rule in St Kitts in May, but in Las Vegas in Sept they said they did not have such a rule. I actually like the rule since it's an easy way to say no to pushy concierges!!!!:cheer:

I was thinking it was one every 3 months (or similar) but often if it's a new property they will waive the rule. They also often waive it if you're staying at the property and you haven't toured at that location recently. We toured Ko'Olina and Maui back to back weeks in Jan.

Does anyone know what the rules are about taking a tour at the resort you own at? We haven't been taking vacations anywhere near MVC properties, but we live fairly close to where we own. I haven't had much point earning opportunities lately.

Can I just call them up and ask for an owner update tour?

Other than they will likely limit you based on the last update, I'm not aware of any other issues for touring where you own. Often they will give you more perks for the tour if you tour on the weekend when people are coming and going and they have a smaller group of people to select from. We got $50 more on Sunday than we would have on Monday or later the last time we stayed at a resort we own that was in active sales. I'm not sure how this would apply if you aren't staying at the resort and just live nearby. Just call them and ask.

I just called all three of the resorts I maybe going to visit...looks like none have restrictions except that you have not toured at their resort in last 9 or 12 months. One resort did say if I purchased at another resort withing past 6 mos then I cannot attend their preview.

OK - an easy 40k MRPs maybe waiting !!!
