How many TPUs will a 2BR Sheraton Broadway Plantation Gold Plus (summer) get me in RCI?

can anyone please look this up for me?
I need to get enough to trade into a Disney DVC 1BR for Spring Break or summer, which I see is approx. 45 TPU. I only want to join RCI if it's worth my while.
Otherwise, I'll just continue to trade it in II, which has been great, but no DVC.

No you won't get that much. It is hard to tell what you will get because Vistana resorts like SBP get blended values based on earlier bulk deposits but my guess would be a 2 BR SBP would get between 22-32 tpu's for deposit for a gold plus week. You won't know exactly until you actually go to deposit.

yikes, that's low. Or rather, DVC is high.
I would need to deposit 2SBPs to get a DVC during my kids' vacation time. not worth it. I guess I'll continue to stay off property:-(

DVC is just really high and SBP since it blends high and low seasons is fairly average.

Sorry to hijack your post but..What would be a good trader for RCI to obtain DVC weeks? Would RCI weeks or points be better? Does DVC have a 1 in 4 rule?

Yes, it’s low. I have an Independent but I only get 30. Not even enough for HGVC.

So far, no 1 in 4 rule. RCI Points is always a good option. I paid 41,000 points for the week we are staying in now. so $410 in MF's + exchange fee of $239 + $190 to Disney. This is Saratoga Springs, one bedrooms is all I can get. I rarely get anything but Saratoga Springs. Our son is in his own unit here at Saratoga Springs, and he thinks a 1 bedroom is too small for a family of 3-4. His opinion, not mine.

I have a great respect for anything Disney, since we own Disney points. But I still prefer Marriott over this particular resort.

I also have to add that Presidential Villas at Plantation Resort is a good trader, gets at least 60 for a prime summer week 24-32. It takes 45 for Disney. Fees are about $950.

Don’t count on 41,000 Rci points for dvc. They are regularly 68,000 for a 1br. Many years the week prior to easter is not deposited. I searched for 2 years with no luck. I had luck 2 other years.
If you have Marriott preference, a better plan might be doing a “swap” of your week for a II Marriott trade for someone’s Rci points trade.
There are several who internally swap with each other on tug. I’ve done this a few times and it worked out well.
I wouldn't buy to trade for dvc as your resorts fees could increase quality decrease etc and you might be stuck. Elaine

Thank you all for your responses! They are helpful and hopefully helpful to OP too. To sum up DVC is usually about 45 TPU in weeks and 68k in points is that correct?

Yes. Sometimes 54,000 if it’s a week deposit showing in points. But plan for 68k. And 43-45 for tpu. Lower if last minute.

Do you have a lockoff? A summer season (every week) gets 30 tpu for a 2 bedroom right now. However, each 1 bedroom gets 27 tpu. So if you have a lockoff you could deposit separately and get 54 tpu. You would have to pay the combine fee, but it might still be worth it given the dollar value of dvc.

Definitely worth the fee to deposit both sides separately!

No, my SBP is a regular 2BR, not a lockoff. 30 tpu in RCI won't get me much in the high seasons (school vacation time) like I need.
That's ok. I've been happy with Interval International.
We actually enjoy going to SBP, but only every other year, so I trade in II on our off years (or rent it out)

SBP is excellent in II but not so good in RCI. I also own a two br there, it's a Gold Plus that locks off, and I would never put it into RCI. Each and every timeshare purchased must be assessed as to which exchange company is "best" (and don't believe what developer sales agents tell you, heck, don't buy from them, of course!)

Oh, as for Disney, I stayed there via II back in the good old days. I own a few timeshares in RCI with great TPU value that could get me in, if I pay that pesky fee to combine TPUs. But RCI only shows up with certain Dis resorts that I have no interest in...and furthermore I am kinda "over it" when it comes to Orlando. So I have TPUs to burn and nowhere to go. I would easily spend 'em on Manhattan Club but I won't pay that pesky daily "resort fee" they have now.

Ahhh, how I long for a return to the good old days of timesharing!

If I remember correctly was it 3-4 years when DVC was asking about 55 TPU's?
