How many points did you save on the sale that is going on now? I will start. I saved just over 20,000 points! That's a lot of points! I really do love these sales. How many points did you save from the sale?

1,800 points recovered on a Tuscany Village reservation. The reservation included the blacked-out dates and the discount applied only to the dates before and after the blacked-out dates. Looks like they did it right.

They seem to come up for the HGVC resorts in the winter (January-March) and the late summer (August) when it's a fairly low season. This one was about another month or so in addition to the typical August one I've seen.

For HVC, there seem to be more frequent discounts available. This kind of makes up for some of the resorts (e.g., Cabo Azul) where there is no seasonal variation in the number of points for a room. I've noticed on the HVC side of things that you don't get access to the discounts if your points are resale, though - not a big deal for me as I plan further out than the discounts allow in general and spent way less than retail on what I own there.

HVC is what HGV names the former Diamond system. They are generally a step down from most HGVC properties. They as far as Parc Soleil goes, I believe it’s a pretty popular resort so they don’t need deals for people to book there.

I was originally going to take a studio at Parc Soleil but a 3 bedroom at Sea World was hard to pass up!
This was originally going to be a solo trip but Now I know the whole family will jump on this trip. LOL

Nice! Just as a future FYI, the Parc Soleil 3 bedrooms all have kings where one of the other bedrooms in the Orlando have 2 queens.
