We are planning a our first time trip to New Orleans and Texas. How many days should we plan on staying in San Antonio? 3 or 4 nights?

When we stayed in Austin, we took a day trip to San Antonio. We went to the Alamo and stopped at the Blue Bell Diner on the way back. They are famous for pies.

It all depends on what interest you.

History, then the missions and the Alamo.
Local Cultural, the Riverwalk.
Hill Country, that could be a few days depending on what you want to do.

In addition to the above, there is also the Zoo and Japanese Tea Garden and the Botanical Gardens.

February might be a bit early in the season for the gardens. Too bad, they are very nice.
