How long to be fully registered in Marriott's systems as owner?

I won an ebay auction on 10/24 for a Marriott Shadow Ridge 2BR lockoff. The process appears to have gone very smoothly, as I just called Marriott this morning and they tell me that I am now the recognized owner and they gave me my owner ID.

However, when I went to set up my online account, I received an error that only registered owners can log in. I called Marriott back and when the agent noticed that this was an external resale, she put me on hold for a couple minutes and then said politely that since the transfer is so new, I should "give it another week" and then try to log in again.

Does anyone have any experience with this process? Thanks.

They told me 30 days, but it took 2 months, apparently something having to do with the death certificate not being right or something.

Who do you call? I just called Marriott (800-307-7312) and they tried finding me by one of my phone numbers, to no avail. The person said to call the re-sale department (866-682-4547) because they would be handling it, does that sound right? Seems like I should be talking to someone at Shadow Ridge. Note that I bought the TS on ebay.

The deed was finally recorded in Riverside County,CA on December 2nd. Not sure when TCS (Timeshare Closing Services) sent the deed to Marriott and not sure what other info (phone numbers) they supplied them with. Feel like I'm in a black hole.

I called 800.845.4226 that I found on my-vacation club.com. They gave me my owner number over the phone. Try that number.
