We just closed on selling a unit and I was told by a Hyatt rep that it could take up to 60 days. I’m sure it can vary depending on the volume at any given time.Any information on how long it is taking hyatt to process a resale transaction once they get a recorded deed?
Nice, congrats. I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up in your Hyatt account in 5 or 6 weeks.Good info
Thanks
Bought a Hyatt KA'ANAPALI floating week with 2025 usage
Really worried about the value of that usage
This is my first alsoMy recent Hyatt was submitted to the resort for transfer on August 9th and completed transfer on November 5th - 88 days. It was a first Hyatt ownership so maybe that resulted in it taking longer.
Was this a Diamond week? If not what level was it? Would be helpful to know what weeks HVC valuesLast December, Hyatt exercised ROFR on a High Sierra week I was selling. Our sales agreement stated a 30 day closing but when Hyatt took the week they substituted terms that they had 120 days to close. We argued with them because the terms of a ROFR purchase need to be identical to that of the original sales agreement. Soon after, an issue was discovered with the deed so the escrow was closed until that could be solved. The deed issue took many months to solve, and once escrow was reopened, the closing went fairly quickly- within 30 days although Hyatt never explicitly agreed to a 30 day closing, and some of the legwork had already been completed before the deed issue was discovered.
I am currently doing a deedback on a different Hyatt unit and again I am told 120 days to closing. No idea if it will be faster in actuality (it’s only been 2 weeks so far). But my impression is that the “standard” for closing now with Hyatt is “within 120 days”. I suggest you assume it will be 120 days and then allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised if it is shorter than that.
