How long before check-in do I actually have to change to a guest name?

The VSN website now has its "Change a Guest Name" option removed substantially before the check-in date, like maybe a week before. However, I do not know exactly how many days before check-in this option is removed. Can anybody here tell me?

Also, after the "Change a Guest Name" option is removed, it it possible to change the name the reservation is in by some other method, maybe via phone or via chat? If so, does anybody know how long an owner has to use this option?

The option disappears about 4 days before check-in. After that, you have to call owner services. If it's the day of check-in, you will have to call the front desk and their cooperation varies.
