We are heading to Branson the last week of October and would love to get some golf in. How is the weather . . and what courses would you recommend? Are there any coupons or discounts? Thanks, as always, for any help you can give .. . . .
Golf should be fine. Last year, my daughter got married in an outdoor cermony at Stonebridge resort (Ledgestone golf course), on Saturday, October 27. The week prior we had the whole range of weather from high 30s to 70s at sunset. So, I was nervously watching the weather forecast on a daily basis... It turned out to be fantastic!
Here is the best trip planner that I found, be sure and scroll to the bottom... it also contains a nice historical view of past years. This is useful for anywhere.
On golf courses, Branson Creek and Murder Rock are the two public ones that I'd highly recommend. Ledgestone (at Stonebridge) is supposed to be private, but I'll recommend it just in case you know someone that can get you in... or if you're staying at Stonebridge.
There are two other public courses at Thousand Hills and Holiday Hills that I've heard about, but never got the chance to play.
Also, Branson Creek will usually run specials and send email coupons for that time of year. If I get one, I'll try and remember to send it to you.
Hey Scott, thanks for the info - really appreciate it. And thanks for the website: www.teetimewatch.com. I usually think I can find most golf discounts on the internet, but hadn't come across this one - and I always like to have new sites about golf!
