this concept seems to have been missed by many in command situations
that we are reading about in current events .

But in the end, it didn't matter. Germany was unable to produce enough heavy tanks to be effective. Both the Soviets and the US were producing (and fielding) medium tanks are a rate of more than 10 to 1. Even with the high kill ration of the heavy tanks, there wern't enough of them to control a battlefield. Only between 1,100 and 1,200 Tiger were produced (if memory serves me).
