I used www.bidshares.com several years ago to list a timeshare. It looks like they still do not charge for listings or to bid on a timeshare. My question is, how does bidshares.com make money?

Ads and upgraded listings
They make money from Google,yahoo ads that show on their pages, plus it costs extra to feature you ads, and many of the large sellers use featured ads.

There is so much junk on there now, it's almost not worth the time to fish through all the garbage they are asking the moon for.

I posted probably fifty ads there a few years ago, and I can't remember ever getting a single inquiry or bid- even for a few low dollar DVC contracts.
I've always thought it was just a lead generation site for another timeshare related business. If you try to follow the links to the privacy policy- it takes you to a dead link.
I'm probably just paranoid, but the site never seemed to get enough traffic to make google ads profitable. Maybe they get enough upgrades to make it profitable.
