I am pretty flexible. I can go almost any week between the end of May and the end of September, except for one week in July.

I am on Interval's website and it does appear that all they have is "leftovers," so I need to know how to put in a request for place I'd actually like to go.

Help!

I should note that I have a Marriott 2 bedroom in Myrtle Beach and I got a "resort accommodations certificate" in the mail. It entitles me to a full week at an II member resort. I'm trying to get into a good place. It expires in December 2012 and I can only travel between end of May and end of September.

Hi, I see this was moved, but it's about exchanging my week to an Interval International week so I think it belongs in the other forum.

Each system has special rules with II, so it may be more helpful for you to get answers from other Marriott owners.

Is your accommodation certificate listed with your week in your "my units"
If so click on it and see what is available. Many certificates can only be used 59 days out so you would want to check on that.

If your certificate allows, if you put in where you want to go and nothing is available it will then bring up a screen asking if you want to put in a request

Also when you attempt to do an on-line search with AC, a pop-up of permitted areas will probably appear. If a desired area doesn't show up the AC has low probability of success there.

If you are using the MB deposit, anything can be requested. To do an on-going request, do a search either by area or by inputting the codes for the resorts and dates of interest. When nothing positive comes back, a screen asking if you want to place an on-going request will appear.

At the this point follow the on-screen instructions (they are rather obtuse at times). With patience, you will be able to specify resorts and dates of interest. Extra patience will really be needed because the request procedure really isn't set up for requesting "any week in this range except Week X." You will be required to pay the exchange fee when the request is submitted.

Keep in mind that the request is filled with the first date and week available so don't request anything you don't absolutely want. There is a cancellation period of 24 hours starting from the instant II confirms the exchange so it is necessary to check on-line daily to make sure that the exchange that is confirmed is satisfactory. The II e-mail confirming my last exchange arrived three days after the I saw the confirmed exchange on on-line.

Thanks, I will be using the AC and they said I could not request something that was not available on the grid.

We chose Orlando and now are selecting the right resort in that area. I haven't been to Disney in 15 years, so I'm VERY excited!!!

I started another thread looking for recommendations:

Marriott Royal Palms 2 bedroom
Marriott Sabal Palms 2 bedroom
Marriott Grande Vista 1 bedroom
Cypress Pointe (not Cypress Harbour)

Two of us can share a bed, but the other two would want their own beds so I am leaning towards Royal Palms or Sabal Palms unless the Grande Vista is really really better.

Sheratons are also available.

Royal Palms isn't really a good option because I think the second bedroom only has a queen. I think Sabal Palms may have a small single or something in addition to the queen in the second bedroom. If you could snag a 3BR at Imperial Palms or Grande Vista, that would be your best bet. A 2BR at Grande Vista would also be good if you could get a dedicated 2BR unit with two queens in the second bedroom. The problem there is that only four buildings were built with dedicated 2BR units, all the others have lock offs. The 2BR side of a 3BR would also work and those are available in all buildings.

I'm curious as to why all those Marriotts are showing up in the AC grid, but not Marriott Cypress Harbour? Is it something you can see on your computer, or some info they're telling you over the phone?
