How do we 'safely' pay the resort fees for The Grand Mayan before our trip?

We will be traveling soon and need to pay the resort fees to Grand Mayan, Riviera Maya before we leave. How do we safely do that? Our son used a CC at a very nice AI resort in MX in April and his card was compromised! What a pain. So, we are leery. We rented the unit via RCI but there will be considerable fees due yet before we go. Any suggestions? You would think for the prices RCI charges - they could help with this sort of thing.
Thanks so much!

Call your credit card institution. It seems to me they can issue a 'single use' number for such transactions. That said, In Mexico I regularly use a debit card for acquiring pesos, but since mine was compromised there a few years ago, I ALWAYS use an ATM inside a bank branch. NEVER a stand-alone machine in a public place.

Thanks all..... Looks like we will pay at the resort at check in. I called RCI. May do the 'single use' number. That's a good idea!
