I have a Worldmark non-travel share membership. I went through a presentation in St. George recently and I was told that my membership isn’t eligible to reserve Wyndham. Without giving them more money. How do I upgrade my account to include reserving Wyndham. Do I have to sell my current Membership and buy a new one, and if so, that’s OK. How do I identify a unit to buy that will have access to Wyndham?

Did you buy Worldmark resale or direct? When did you purchase? The cross booking program between Worldmark and Wyndham is called ClubPass

As a resale owner, you only have access to Wyndham units if you have WM+A credits; i.e. you owned before travel share came into being.
If you have WM+A credits, you can only use 1 years worth to book. Frankly, not worth the effort.
If you want Wyndham, buy a small Wyndham account or, better, rent or trade with a Wyndham owner.
Stop attending updates/sales pitches. St George is one of the worst for pushy sales people. They lie for a living. Just walk on by the sales desk and unplug the phone etc.

I bought resale and have had it since about 2005. Is club pass transferable with a resale unit? When i look through the resales on ebay I don’t see any mention club pas.

There are 3 types of Worldmark Credits. WM+A = Credits bought from whatever source (yes even resell) prior to November 20, 2006. WM = resell credits acquired after November 20 2006. WMTS = Developer purchased Credits after November 20, 2006. WM Credits can only be used at the 90+ World market Resorts. WM+A and WMTS can be used at the 90+ Worrldmark Resorts, Wyndham Club Pass, and Wyndham South Pacific. All Worldmark Credits have access to Bonus Time, Monday Madness, and Inventory Specials. Also if you purchased THE WMTS Credits after November 20, 2006 and and before the settlement of the Lawsuit (about 2010) then you also have FunTime. This is an extended Bonus Time. A WMTS Platinum has a Bonus Time of 42 Days.

Neither WM+A or WMTS passes on resell. They can transfer to certain immediate family members. Mainly between Parents and Children.

I only attended the “Update” because they said I would gain access to Wyndham just by attending. I know that if their lipa are moving they are lying, and already plan to never attend again. Part of my problem is that my wife talks to them. I just say No thank you, my time is too valuable and walk away.

I don’t know exactly when I purchased my credits, but I’m almost positive it was before November 20, 2006. I purchased my credits shortly after joining Tug in January of 2006. Is it possible they sat on my transfer until after November 20th? Our purchase was just about that time, It had to be just day’s or weeks Before or after.
is there a way i can see the closing date?

At which Wyndham resort(s) do you want to stay? Just rent them the once or twice you want them. There is no reason to buy developer credits for access. The sales people are using FOMO (fear of missing out). You are not missing out.

If your account has WM+A credits, you will see a section on your credit summary with this heading:

I just went through my old posts here on Tug. I found one from April 13, 2007 that says I just closed and I’m trying to find out how to use II. Unfortunately I missed the cutoff by 6 months.

There are lots of wyndham deposits in RCI. You could try there is you are looking for a full week. Might even be cheaper than booking via WM. But it depends on where and when you want to go. RCI does not get prime weeks or unit types.

I owned Wyndham with WM access, but I still acquired a small WM account to use primarly for BT, IS, and MM. Since these transactions include HK, I do not bother getting more WM points because I would have to pay for HK and more MFs. I view this more as a pay as you go model. I have little annual committment, and only pay more when I want to.

If you want Wyndham access you could always acquire a small Wyndam points account that would meet your wyndham needs.

It is no big deal. I have not used Club Pass a single time.

Club Pass can be very expensive in WM Credits. An example from a situation we had a few years ago. We were going to Kauai for several weeks. To match up with our other Resorts we needed a specific week in a 2 bedroom at Bali Hai. Through RCI it would have been 10,000 WM Credits. At the time there was nothing available in RCI. So we Booked through Club Pass. It was 20,000 WM Credits. The Club Pass Exchange Fee was less. $99 Club Pass vice then $249 RCI. We still put in a Request through RCI. About 30 days before Check-in we heard from RCI that a 2 bedroom had become available for our dates. We took it for only 4,000 WM Credits and canceled our Club Pass. So we paid about $150 more in the Exchange Fee but netted back 16,000 WM Credits.
