I own a week at a resort in Las Vegas, (Cliffs at Peace Canyon). I have it for sale but no takers. I've read that some resorts will take the deed back if you can not pay the maintenance fee. Who would I call: the resort? ~ the HOA? ~ or the Management company? Never had to do this before and I am at a loss. Any help, please.

Perseverance counts. It will take more than a phone call or two. George, (Bogie21) deeded back several, but it took time and pressure. Perhaps missing a MF payment or two (or more) will help convince them that you are serious? 'Course, there's the other route, giving it to a new home. Put an ad up in the Bargain Deals. Can't hurt. Might get the job done.

OK ~ so I see that I should call the resort and ask but who do I talk to? Calling the resort will usually get me to someone at the front desk. How do I get directed to the proper person to ask? Is it the General Manager? Sales? As I said this is so new to me and I'm at a loss. My 2016 maintenance fee is paid.

should be contact info for your HOA in your annual mf bill (or any annual owner publication/etc sent via mail)

A signed letter to the HOA President is likely to be far more productive than a phone call to the resort, where you will only reach front desk personnel who are neither sufficiently knowledgeable nor in any way authorized to address the topic or details of "deeback". HOA President will be someone off site; good advice already offered above regarding how to identify that person by name and reach them in writing. Good luck.

The "deedback" answer could very well be different today than it was several months ago at any given resort. Accordingly, with all due respect, it would be probably be best to submit your own, cuurent request (I always recommend doing so in writing to your HOA President).

Welcome to TUG. In the overall scheme of things, it's probably easier to just give away an unwanted TS in the Bargain Deals sub-forum. Of course it must be paid off, as no one will take one that is owed on while so many are available free.
