We are heading to Marriott Surf Club (Palm Beach) on the 25th of March. This is our 4th spring break there. During the previous 3 trips I would say it was crowded, but not overcrowded. If anyone is down there now and has been down there is years past, do the crowds feel (1) the same, (2) a little less or (3) a fair amount less? Thanks.

Most of Aruba is running around 40 to 45 percent occupancy right now.

Hi Lord,
Check out the Forums on Aruba.com for more detailed info on Aruba status right now. Several members are there now and can answer specific questions RE: crowds on beaches, restaurants, what’s open etc.

We are arriving at the Surf Club on Sunday 3/28. DM me if you want to try to meet up there.

If you were there previous spring break trips and didn’t think it was overly crowded, you’ll think it is a ghost town now. I’ve been once before covid and thought the place was mobbed. The island (beach area) isn’t big enough for the amount of resorts jammed next to each other.

I went in Aug/Sept and Thanksgiving last year. It was a Ghost town in late summer and was a bit more crowded for thanksgiving. When I say a bit more crowded I mean 25 palapas taken up as opposed to 15 the two months earlier.

I hear now from owners that there is still no issue getting palapas and it’s generally quiet. As you mentioned, spring break is heating up so expect the occupancy to rise. The new return testing requirements the US just added late May deter people from traveling.
