I have a reservation for a 2BR Presidential at Glacier Canyon and Housekeeping Credits show 77. I have an additional 3BR Presidential and it shows 140. Is this correct? Why so high?

It's my first year as an owner :)

Per page 338 in a recent Member Directory ... fixed grid based on 7 night stays ...
STUDIO unit eats up 28HKs
1bdr unit is 63HKs
2bdr unit is 77HKs
3bdr unit is 140HKs
4Bdr unit is 154HKs

And that is why .. the Member Directory says so. PERIOD.

Remember, it can change during the NEXT printing of the Member Directory.

So it could be WORSE.

As I said, I am a first year owner and was curious if there was a specific reason why it's double from a 2BR. No need for CAPS or the word PERIOD.

I don't think Linda meant that for you. She was emphasizing that it is whatever Wyndham says it is without any explanation for members. The CAPS and period where meant to simulate the fact that Wyndham never offers an explantion.

She uses CAPS on all of HER posts to emphasize CERTAIN words.

It's actually not quite double, it's the same as a 2 bedroom plus a 1 bedroom. The 4 bedroom is double a 2 bedroom at 154 Housekeeping credits.

Actually, you have been register on TUG for more than a year now ... no longer a newbie.;)

As for being a new first year Wyndham owner ... GREAT! There is a lot to learn ... and it seems you are trying to make it thru reading the "Member Directory".

Yes, I do use CAPITALS words in many posts ... many times the WORD in capitals ... means something specific with Wyndham or is a command to do something ... such as <ENTER> key.

Ill answer your question the same way I would answer my daughter when she would ask "why, daddy, why??"

The answer I gave my daughter was, either "Because I said so" or "because god made it that way" The answer Im giving you, is, "because Wyndham says so"

By the way, dont let Linda upset you.. Shes our mother hen here, and knows more than all of us. What you get from her may be tough love... but its love all the same.

Soooo Grateful and thankful

We truly are "Newbies", we joined TUG around August. Purchased our first timeshares in September via TUG marketplace. The information shared here is invaluable. We have and are still learning to navigate thru the wealth of information available from the seasoned and experienced TUGGERS. I just want to encourage you the way I have been encouraged being part of the TUG family. Finding TUG when I did was a God send. I almost purchased from the developer, when I stumbled upon TUG. All my questions and concerns have been answered. Like you I was directed to the Member's directory, given page numbers where to find the answers I needed at that time. What I am saying is, I believe your response was truly given to guide and help you by placing emphasis where needed. I have learned to checking with the forum regularly by doing so I learn from the questions asked by others. Again, I am soooo, thankful for the TUG family. Like all families, we sometimes have misunderstandings. :hi:

Not upset - I'm not new to time sharing or message boards so the response came off kind of terse. There is a noticeable jump between 2br and 3br. If you look at the jump from Studio to 1, 1 to 2, or 3-4 it's a much more reasonable jump. My family has four kids and we prefer the 3br but don't require it. Based on Hk credits though it's definitely a consideration. I was simply asking if there was some big to do about going from a 2br to a 3br that I wouldn't know.

I am new in that this is our first stay since purchasing last Spring. I have been here to research things from time to time.

I previously had 3 DVC contracts and there were not housekeeping credits, reservation transactions and everything felt over explained. I'm not complaining - the two are just entirely different animals. I also didn't pay upwards of 25k for a Wyndham contact so the two aren't comparable. It's just getting used to the ins and outs and figuring out what works best for my family.
