Just wondering the trading power of platinum Horizons Orlando? If we want Orlando should we do Horizons or Grande Vista?

Thanks!

I think Horizon's Orlando trades fine, but I hear Grand Vista trades better. However, I think Horizon's is slightly harder to get into(although all of Orlando is pretty easy), because it's a smaller resort. I bought Horizon's because I only wanted to stay at Horizon's with my kids. I've only traded back into Horizon's and have also traded during flexchange, so I dont know the true trading power. My guess with it being Orlando and also "Horizon's" instead of a flagship resort, the trade power is not fantastic, but OK. If you're looking just for a trader, I wouldn't chose any of the Orlando resort. There are just too many.

On my Horizon, I reserved a June week 2009, locked off, traded for a 2 bedroom Cypress Harbor in June 2009 for my one bedroom and a 1 bedroom Ocean Pointe the week later for my studio. I don't know about trading into harder resorts, but for the price I paid for it, I am happy. I got two weeks during summer vacation, disney and the beach. I bought a NCV to stay there and for the harder trades.

I have traded my Horizons Gold week for a Grand Ocean Platinum and Manor Club Platinum week. I know friends who have traded a Horizons Gold week for a Barony Platinum week, Surfwatch Platinum Week, and Ocean Point summer week (Gold I think). My Horizons Gold week sees the same inventory as my Platinum Manor Club week online. Don't know if it is exactly the same for a request. It has traded very well through II for me, don't know if it would fare as well in an internal points system but that remains to be seen.

Neither, IMO. It is very easy to trade into either of the resorts. Buy something better. Myrtle is a good deal or if you want a lockout go for Branson Platinum. Cheap maintenance and I think a better or at least the same in the TDI. Anyone agree?

I always go back to one of the main rules, buy where you want to go first. With the increased chatter about the new point system, one never knows if your week will eventually become the primary place you stay...

Agree 100%. You might end up with a cheap bronze week that is assigned a low point value and it will take you 2-3 years worth of points to go someplace else other than your home resort during bronze season.
