i have 100k points for use year ending Sept 30, 2020 and 231k points for use year ending sept 30, 2021. I just attempted to book Bonnett Creek for Dec 2020 requiring 150k points. I thought I could pull points from the future use year. To the question.....When will i be able to book the dec 2020 bonnett creek room?

IIRC you can only pull points from a future use year when booking in the 90 day express window for the reservation in question. So for you that would mean Sept 2020.

Points used for a reservation is based on the date for the reservation, not the date your booking the reservation.
For the reservation that you’re making it uses points ending September 30, 2021 not ending September 30, 2020

December is 11 months out so it would be an ARP reservation at this time
10 months out it will be your wanted December reservation date, making the reservation in February
At 10 months a December 24 reservation can be made on February 24

@Braindead's answer is the correct one.
You're really not borrowing points from a future year. Dec 2020 is in your future 2021 Use-year. 2020 use-year points will not be used for that reservation.
After you make that reservation, you will still have 100k in 2020 use-year and be left with 81k in 2021 use-year.

If you are not going to use all of your 2020 use-year points of 100k before your 2020 use-year ends on Sept 31, 2020, you may want to deposit all or some of it into 2021 Use-year. PDF has deadlines depending on VIP status.
