The Honu will be closed from mid February to the end of April. We heard last year that it was going to be renovated. There will be a temporary grill set up in the Aloha Center. Hopefully a bar too!:whoopie:

The timing of this is curious. Must be they figure February and March are a down time at The Point

Funny how construction schedules work!

Cheers,

Paul

Tomorrow is the last day, and they're moving Tuesday. I haven't seen the temporary menu yet, but they said they won't be able to cook anything. :( The good news is all the drink selections will still be available.

The former location is closed for renovation.

But the temporary location is open:

I got the honor of the 1st mai tai from the new location:

The drink menu is the same. The food is limited to some salads, sandwiches, and wraps.

Looking good Art. I'll be drinking Mai Tai's in two days.:whoopie:

Honu

Art. Thanks for the information. Looks like you were having another tension filled day!

It will be nice when they get the Honu refurbished; it was definitely showing its age.

We are a couple of weeks away from the first Mai Tai.

Paul

Honu is selling breakfast bentos: eggs, rice, 2 kinds of sausage, fried chicken strips, and of course SPAM. Delicious.

They're installing a grill in the temp location, so their menu should be increasing soon.
