She had a deal I almost couldn't refuse on a Shearwater week. It's $6,600 for a unit 208, which is a penthouse, annual week. She also has a 2-week package in unit 213, annual use, and the price isn't double the $6,600. 213 isn't a penthouse, but it is in the middle of the levels, so it would still be a nice view.

We paid $11K two years ago for an annual lower-level unit. :bawl: We bought our week from Timeshares Only. Wish we would have waited.

Anyway, if you want anything, Andrea's direct line is 888-777-7590, ext 1244.

Where is Shearwater? I am not familiar with it, and a quick Google search did not turn up anything.

Thanks for the info!

how much is MF?

how much is MTF per year and how much can you rent a similar unit in the area?

It is in Hawaii and the cost of travel is high though.

Beautiful resort

Pahio at the Shearwater (now a Wyndham) is one of the best trades we have made. We were in a top floor unit, in an area where there are just two floors, and had the most gorgeous view from our lanai. We sat on the lanai and watched whales out in the ocean. I love Shearwater, but would not travel there every year. It is just too far and too expensive for us.

Thanks for the offer !!!

rickandcindy23,

While this particular offering doesn't suit my needs,
THANKS for posting it !!

TUG has its RENTALS OFFERED, and SIGHTINGS/DISTRESSED,

but I thinks this type of posting would is a big asset to TUG.

The Moderators obviously need to monitor (so as not to be an 'ad'), but it would possibly be nice to have these types of postings---and for MEMBERS only (?)

IMO too many people would exploit it with their own ads...and policing that would just become a nightmare.

noone minds posts like this...merely just informing other tuggers of a good deal etc from a resale broker.

Andrea is a really nice gal to deal with. We bought one of our weeks from her and she kept me informed through the whole process.

Kurt, Shearwater is a wonderful resort with ocean views from every single lanai. There are two units that don't have much of a view, mostly landscaping in the way, and kind of around the back of the pool, but every other unit has a fabulous ocean view. We saw whales playing when we were there in March. It was awesome!

The fees are about $1,180, I believe. That may sound high to some, but the units have two master bedrooms with jacuzzi tubs.

Well I must have missed the sale. That's not all bad. I cannot tell my husband we are going to buy yet another timeshare and stay married!! He would surely kill me. We don' t have the time or the money to travel to those we do own. But this sure was tempting.

Cindy, I have heard it is a great resort and for HI those MFs seem reasonable. My Marriotts have equally high maintenance fees-- I mean the St Thomas and then the new one in Orlando both have over $1000 fees
