Hi, all,
I am new here. I own with Hilton and understand my ownership. I am looking to buy resale at Holiday Inn Vacation Club in Lake Geneva through Timeshare Broker Services, but I know nothing about HICV. I have also not purchased resale and am nervous to pull the trigger. Does anyone have advice for me? Could really use some! Thanks in advance.

How many points? They sold some small packages at Lake Geneva in the past in order to convert fixed weeks. Those 15,000 point packages aren't going to be enough to be useful. If they are listed as Marcus something or other points they do convert up but I don't remember the conversion. I would think you would want at least 100,000 HICV to make it useful if you don't already have some HICV to add to it.

Thanks for the reply! This one is actually a floating week in a 2-bedroom; interestingly not a points purchase. I passed on the 15K points resale. The maintenance fee is low, the club dues are under $200. The sale price is relatively low but the transfer and closing fees are more than I expected.

moved to the hicv forum for you, is there a reason you want to buy a lake geneva NON points ownership? people usually chose those specifically as they are one of the only 3 resorts in HICV where the points transfers to the resale buyer.

I wasn't aware of Lake Geneva having anything other than points. Did you see an estoppel? If it were a floating week then there would be no club dues. Club dues are for points that exchange through HICV. Fixed and float weeks are not a part of HICV, even though you would own at a resort managed by HICV.
