We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Tahoe Ridge (Plaza Building) next month. We called the resort (twice) to find out the maximum parking structure height limit. They say the limit is 6 to 7 feet. We have a Subaru Outback with a Thule cargo pod on top (6’ 10”). We can always park outside, but it seems like I have seen SUVs with pods on top during previous trips. Six feet seems low and it seems like most parking structures are 7 foot ish. Can anyone help with this? Thanks and Happy Travels.

But it looks like the Naegle Building 11 only has a 6'8" clearance if I am reading that correctly from picture #15 in your album. So it looks like the OP will be fine unless they get switched to building 11.

True, but the OP said they would be in the Plaza building. It’s been a long time a one or two management companies ago since we stayed at The Ridge. We were never told what building we were assigned until we arrived. Perhaps Holiday Inn is telling guests what building they’ll be in ahead of check in or maybe you can select the building you’ll exchange into from the exchange page. It could be the OP has purchased a week and the deed is in the Plaza building.

At some parking ramps there will be a bar hanging from the ceiling at the entryway and it is (supposedly) positioned at a hike to indicate the minimum clearance you'll find. If you touch the bar going in, it is a warning that you'll scrape.
