We were there in Nov 2022, noticed all they do is rent the units..They are not interested any longer in timeshare exchangers as they get more money out of turning Desert Club into a Hotel. hence as of 2/23 a mandatory $250 fee...As an owner of HI Orange Lake, Orlando (They are not charging this fee) are more friendly for exchangers...Sadly in the future, timeshares will squeeze out exchangers in favor of $$$$$ renters. We saw 1 unit in Las Vegas turn over 3 times in 1 week....$$$$money,money,money..

If I am reading it right, the $250 fee is a security deposit, not a resort fee.

Yes, I believe the new security deposit of $250 went into effect in2/23
I recently paid a $250 security deposit in Orlando. They all seem to be going up.
