I just checked our reservation at Alamo. HNL appears to have added an additional $30 in taxes to a weekly rental. There's a fine line when you're a tourist based economy and hitting tourist with ever increasing taxes such at rental cars and occupancy taxes on timeshare stays. We love Hawaii but there are reasons we don't attempt to go every year. While the taxes aren't a major reason, they are one more reason we'll look elsewhere.
