HIVC Resale Points Resorts

I’ve tried searching on this but was looking for a Reader’s Digest version on buying resale with HIVC at one of the 3 mandatory points resorts. I was hoping to get an idea of any risks to be aware of and/or anything else of note. I am aware of the differences between the 3 points resorts and all others that revert back to weeks on resale. A general overview of how to buy one these resale would be helpful to me, and I assume others too.

Just look for someone selling them and buy like any other timeshare. The only downfall its they don't count towards status level so you wont get the perks that come along with status.

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
You also want to make sure they are not trust points that happen to list one of the 3 mandatory resorts.
