I think there is a mistake In the title - should read 1944, not 1941. Also,, for those interested in learning more about this story, read the excellent book "Halsey's Typhoon: The Storm That Decimated The Pacific Fleet" by Bob Drury and Tom Clavin. When I read the book, I felt like I was in the middle of the storm.
