Anyone owns this TS yet? asking for my brother who is interested in buying Hilton Club Quin that opennning October 2020, offering him 42k for studio , platinum week and bonus points 22K points. He just like the fact that he will be Gold HH as well with 1:50 HH points conversion. MF $1900. I myself bought resale before and lose interest as my kids are growing up but he has no interest taking over said not 1:50 HH and not NYC HC.

If all he's interested in is Gold HH and HH points he's better off getting a credit card and putting his bulk spending on that.

Buying a timeshare to get a hotel point loyalty status and point conversion is a foolish waste of up front money and maintenance fees.

I haven't seen anyone report buying Quinn yet, it's too new, there won't be any resale for a while.

Your brother can get 1:50 and Gold with a resale W57 5250 for about $12k and a MF of around $1500. Use the bHC points to trade into the Quin during bHC window or stay at W57 across the street. IMO $42k is a lot to pay for lounge privileges and 1:50 when you can get them by staying across the street in resale W57. The HHonors conversion is nice to have, but he should buy NYC to use as there are less expensive ways into HGV system and HHonors points.

According to the HGV earnings conference call yesterday, they have only recently received the regulatory approvals to begin sales at The Quin.

Actually, there really isn't a by Hilton Club (bHC) window that exists across all bHC properties. HGV has currently set up the By Hilton Club Priority as dyads, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately for some) W57 is not part of a Priority Exchange dyad.

From the 2020 Club Rules:

By Hilton Club Priority exchange is a reciprocal priority exchange window where Owners at select “by Hilton Club” branded properties may exchange into each other’s property during a fifteen (15) day reciprocal exchange window without competing with Members who do not own an interest at those resorts. By Hilton Club priority exchange reservations may only be made using ClubPoints. After the by Hilton Club Priority window ends, Members may still make a by Hilton Club priority reservation, subject to availability.

• A Hilton Club priority exchange window currently exists
between The Residences by Hilton Club and The District by Hilton Club beginning seventy-four (74) days prior to check-out and ending sixty (60) days prior to check-out. One-night minimum booking required.

• A Hilton Club priority exchange window currently exists
between The Central at 5th by Hilton Club and The Quin Central Park by Hilton Club beginning 104 days prior to check-out and ending ninety (90) days prior to check-out. One-night minimum booking required.
