Hilton Kaanapali Beach Club Resort

The HGV KBC was a 1 BR Deluxe Ocean View. We sure hope it's ocean front. 90% OV is cool. Hey it's Maui.
KBC is beautiful! Lovely location & landscaping!
All rooms are nice... All towers are connected with short hallways, so can get amazing views anytime, even if not right from one's lanai...
Rooms are large; bathrooms huge although the kitchen is a bit small + griddle rather than stovetop, but all good....
Congrats on scoring this awesome DeX exchange!

What was the DEX Tier level? I would assume that the 2BR OF P@P is DEX tier 6.

You assumed correctly. Tier 6.

At KBC, I prefer a room that doesn't face the ocean. From the room, you'll only see Lanai and the water. The rooms facing north or south have nice views of the coastline. Here's ocean view vs view to the north.
That's a really good point. Thanks.

It's a lovely property. Much preferred it to MBV (which is far more expensive HGV pt/MF wise, far less nice resort experience wise & terrible as proximity to a lovely beach (vs KBC).
Def will prefer KBC to MBV any day (except the smaller kitchen, lack of kitchen counter space, lack of stove & lack of in-unit laundry but can live with all of them)
They have laundry machines on each floor, free to use but a schlep...

We really enjoyed our stay at MBV. But they do want a crazy amount of points that is for sure. Because of that there seems to be a lot of availability even last minute. And we love going to the snorkeling and beaches in in the south including Wailea. A week in the west ... a week in the south. Enjoy it all.

WorldMark Kihei is right in the heart of the action, walk few steps to Kam beaches (vs MBV which is a drive from them all).... And much cheaper than MBV (or KBC); having access to that via WM, MBV is not as desirable for us but without access to it, I can understand the desire for a week at both (as we did earlier this year)...

Just booked (via DeX EU) Jan/Feb 2028 weeks at both KBC and P@P back to back. Thursday check-in for hopefully more available seats on flights. May add some days at HGVC MBV when the nine month window rolls around. We just hope there are no resort fees as that is what we are told, and there is no resort fee in the exchange confirmation. Looking forward to all your updates and reviews.

Whale season!!!!

The HGV KBC was a 1 BR Deluxe Ocean View. We sure hope it's ocean front. 90% OV is cool. Hey it's Maui. We have only been on timeshare tour at KBC (Embassy Vacation Resorts, Sunterra, way back) and we walked the grounds last year to check it out. We never stayed there as we prefer Kauai and the BI and didn't want to get stuck in a non-OV room. Now we have DeX so thanks HGV.

The HGV P@P was 2 BR Oceanfront. We hope it is a renovated room but hey, it's Kauai. Giving them a year and a half to get more renovations done. Last time we were there it was Embassy Vacation Resort (Sunterra) via RCI exchange. Long, long ago. Between then and now we have been staying at the Marriotts and the Pahio/Wyndham while in Kauai. Now we have DeX so thanks HGV.
KBC is HVC (Hilton Vacation Club, old Diamond). There is no HGV. HGVC (Hilton Grand Vacation Club) is old Hilton.

The 35% off for MBV was nice and still going on. I like Kihei as I have friends there so I’m excited to check out MBV even if I have to drive more places.

I want to check out KBC eventually too but we are staying at the Westin Kanapali via interval this Dec.
so many options to stay in Hawaii now. I have to rotate where I go every time.

Ya got me Nacho. For some reason, in my head, I do that and can't seem to get it straight. Ain't the first time, won't be the last.
