yes, this is one of the things that Legacy owners retain, even if they join Max (HGV Max Legacy Members). That led to this crazy table in the rules guide.

Funny, they don't even follow their own nomenclature. Here is the description of the Legacy Max person from page 2 and then the table isn't the same later in the same document.
