Hilton HGV Max Purchase from Developer

Can anyone confirm if you purchase HGV Max and you are current HGV resale owner, if Hilton will now allow you to "roll" your HGV points into Max? We have previously participated in a sales presentation and were told that Hilton will not allow you to move your current "deeded" points from a resale into Max. Today at a presentation were told the opposite, that now if you purchase HGV Max you will be able to "roll" the points, but the resale points wont be allowed to raise your status/membership level in HGVMax. This was confirmed by the Director of Quality Assurance. But this person also stated this is a "new policy" versus something in a contract.
Everything we own with Hilton is resale and we have not purchased developer because Hilton wont "roll" like Marriott does.

Resale points should be included in your “pool” of total points; however, deed and trust points are treated differently; that is, they act as their respective “type” for reservation purposes until they can be combined for a reservation at 7 months. And some have reported that a call is necessary to combine the points. Resale points, according to policy, do not accrue to higher benefit tiers in the MAX program.

The question too is how much would they charge to activate MAX onto a resale account (with no additional points or deeds purchased)? What is the going right for that these days, 15k?

It’s around that number. I was offered 4k points at $4 per point.

I didn’t ask lol. I’m sure they were not great.
