Firm "no." I was at Ocean Grande recently and riding my bike in Sea Pines and happened upon the Monarch property. I had never seen Monarch before so I was curious about the layout in relation to the beach. I told the security guard I was a Marriott owner and told him I did not want to go inside, or come into contact with anyone, and asked if I could look over the bushes to see what the pool area looked like. He was almost to the point of rude. It was an older gentleman who was obviously quite scared about the virus. I get it. I was just taken back by his mean spirit. He could have nicely said, "I'm sorry, considering everything, I just can't let you on the property right now." There is a bike path to the beach right beside the property so I simply went on that and looked over.

Swice, that is unfortunate and sorry you had that experience at Monarch. My past experience has been very different so hopefully yours was an isolated incident. When staying at Grande Ocean, I have often walked to Monarch and walked around the resort just to see what has changed. I enter from the beach access but never use pool/facilities. We do the same when staying at Barony or Surfwatch - we often walk from one to the other and sometimes get a drink or lunch at the bar/grill.

We drove past Monarch while we were in HH last week. Looked liked they had a good crowd if you base it on the Overflow parking lots. They were full!

I agree there’s no need for nastiness...

I’m at Monarch this week. Not full But a good crowd. Pools, bike and beach chair rentals open, fitness center open with restrictions (didn’t ask) I was told at check in that they were at 60-70%. Lots of biking and walking on paths. Nice to be out and see people again. it’s been cloudy and Tuesday rain all day. Much nicer today.

Hello

Planning a trip for sept/oct.

Can a guest or owner use other HHI resorts facilites (pool) during the stay?
Under normal circumstances the answer is no with limited exceptions. Sometimes resorts share activities, esp the Sea Pines resorts. Also, if one owns at a resort they can ask permission for same day usage.
