I have decided ( because of the virus ) to skip going to Hilton Head this year
This is a very basic resort in an excellent location
It's neighboring resort on one side is Marriott's Grande Ocean and on the other side Hilton's new timeshare resort
There is a physical barrier between this Resort and Marriott's Grande Ocean there is non between the Hilton and this resort
I was told that we have access to the Hilton amenities-I take this with a grain of salt
I think we are welcome at the tiki hut restaurant at Hilton but doubt they would welcome us elsewhere
The unit has a direct Ocean Front view which in almost all cases would be superior to the view you would get at either of it's neighbors
To be clear it's view is the only thing where it equals or beats it's neighbors-in all other respects it is basic and they are much more luxurious
The resort is a mixture of privately owned and timeshare condo's
A similar 4th floor unit is listed for rental (with fees ) at $1900 (that seems way too high even in normal times)
The resort is on the beach and has direct beachfront access-so if public beaches are closed you will not be affected
The price is $525 which pretty well covers my maintenance fees
I intend to deposit if it doesn't rent
