Yep, thats a hard place to get into. HICV has been aggressive with ROFR on these top units, they will make a boat load of money reselling this one!

I had 2 blocked by ROFR, Orange Lake East Village and Panama City. Others on HICV Facebook sites had the same thing happen to them. HICV is buying free weeks. But, it’s possible (based on a post here and on the Facebook pages) they’re taking the free weeks so they can turn HICV into an UDI (no longer based on a deed) system.

What is a UDI?
Undivided Deeded Interest - a deed that shows points instead of a week. For example, I have a Lake Geneva deed that is 9,000 / 703,000, which converts to 112,500 HICV points based on the conversion factor of 12.5:1.

IF... HICV is starting to use ROFR to aquire inventory at resorts, wont that eventualy tend to increase the Value of our Units at resale? I mean there is nothing but Upside! RT

Depends if you are a buyer or a seller - I'm always looking for more units, and if HICV is exercising ROFR, then there will be fewer opportunities.

Are old Siverleaf units worthless on the resale market? Does anyone know? I would think it would be at least worth the low MF's if it's a location one could stay at? Any opinions?

Very few Silverleaf units had any value before becoming HICV. I think that still applies. Most silverleaf resorts did not have particularly low mf's (as the MF's also covered the maintenance for weeks used as bonus time). On top of that HICV either has or will be raising the MF's in any of the resorts that HICV does not consider up to standards.
