Newbie here, just receded offer saved lots of money because of this site, thank you!
We do like the idea of the HICV points. I did all the reading on here that only the 3 resorts where you can buy resale can get the points.

I have a few questions.
1. Lets say buy several TS (to get higher points) at say South Beach, is there anyway to "combine" them so I don't have to pay 2 MFs?
2. Do you get the other perks like the last min deals? I know you dont get the club status perks.
3. Are these points still able to be used on RCI (2:1)?
4. I see there are RCI points on here being sold, is it possible to buy one of those to increase RCI points?

Thank you!

You can not combine contracts. You will have the two separate maintenance fees. But only one club fee.

You should still have access to the max time discount bookings.

Yes you will be able to use your points in RCI

I think if you buy a separate timeshare that trades in RCI for points you would have to have a separate RCI account for that one. You would not be able to combine them with your HICV RCI account.

With Gatlinburg and Southbeach, you are buying deeds. You pay a MF's for each deed. You don't want to buy off season weeks with few points because you pay essentially the same MF's regardless of the number of points associated with the deed. A summer season week in a 2 BR lockoff gets 210,000 but the MF's are the same for a 2BR lockoff in value season that only gets 63,000 points at Southpoint. The same kind of thing in Gatlinburg.

Lake Geneva points are points and combing small contracts are only problematic when you have to pay the transfer fees for each one and they have some very small contracts in the 10,000-15,000 range.

There is a bit of a scarcity of contracts at the 3 resorts with decent point to MF's rations at the 2 and larger usable contracts at LG. Expect to pay a premium of $3000-$8000 or more these days for the better contracts at those resorts. If you aren't getting at least 100,000 points for every $1000 in MF's I wouldn't buy it, even if the buy in cost is $0-$500.

If you mainly want to use the points in RCI then just buy a non HICV rci contract. You would not be able to combine HIVC and a non rci points week in rci.
