Lake Geneva had a different developer. They were sold as Marcus vacation points. Some still advertise them for sale vs HICV. Marcus points multiply by 12.5 to get to HICV points so 10,000 Marcus point would be 125,000 HICV.
HICV did sell as few as 15,000 HICV points deeded at Lake Geneva -typically to convert full weeks at the non mandatory resorts before they raised the minimum to convert. So there are a number of 15,000 point contracts out there. They have relatively low MF but you still have to pay the annual HICV membership fee and 15,000 points isn't going to get you much.
The OP needs to figure out if the 10,000 point contract he is looking at is Marcus points or HICV points. If he lists the MF, it can probably be determined fairly easily.
