HICV booking a reservation and using the "right" points

Points I have
2019 point expiring normally 12/31/20 now expiring 6/30/21
2020 points expiring normal 12/31/21 now expiring 6/30/21
50,000 Bonus points they gave us expiring 12/31/20.

I wanted to make a reservation and it used my 2019 points. The HICV reservation system is NOT using those bonus points first automatically. The reservation desk has to manually change those who notice or use them.

So just NOTE, you need to call to get them to select and use the right point, the bonus points that expire first.

Thanks for the info. As I do not have any 2020 points left, every time I try to book something, those 50k points are being used automatically. So it must have to do with those who still have 2020 points available.

Great info, as many do not know about the free 50k and even I was not clear with the points extension.

Yes, if you have points remaining, you will have to call to fix it.
