So I looked at availability for the next 276 and 186 days respectively and there is not a single Penthouse unit of any size or type available on any day in either tower (there are in Lagoon Tower). The 2020 Club Rules writes that Open Season Penthouse Reservations for these properties may only be made by Penthouse owners but says nothing of restrictions on Club Season. Is this a restriction noted elsewhere? Or are all they all somehow booked in the midst of the pandemic? TIA.

at least for the Grand Waikikian availability will not show online for some reason. You have to call in to see availability.
I do not know if that is also true for Grand Islander. Someone with experience with Grabd Islander can chime in.

I believe the Penthouses are fix weeks so they are pre-book for the owners. They will only show if the owners cancel them. I have seen the Grand Waikikian and Lagoon Tower Penthouse come up very sporadically. A few years ago, I was able to pick up a 3 bdrm Penthouse in the Lagoon Tower for 3 nights just cruising the all the dates. I did it out of a whim just to see what the Penthouse looked like.
