Hi,
Going to HH for the first time with 2 teenage girls and 1 youngster 2.5 yrs old. I will probably play 2-3 rounds of golf. Have few units coming up. I checked the reviews/ratings.....but those of you that have visited these particular units can recommend which resort should I book from the following:
Spinnaker at shipyard (silver crown)
waterside by spinnaker (gold crown)
cottages at shipyard (silver crown)
swallowtail at sea pines (not rated)
sea pines plantation (hospitality rating)
egret point by spinnaker (gold crown)

all of these are 2 bedroom units. would you recommend gold crown over silver?

Hi...
From the list you have, I would definitely recommend Waterside by Spinnaker...it's located just a block from a small quaint shopping/restaurant area that the teen girls would enjoy. It's a beautiful resort and I think the best for your needs from the list. Hope you have a great time.

Also add to the list
PORT O'CALL 3 bedroom unit.

Please help as I need to book this unit soon before it disappears.

I would take the Port O Call 3 bedroom...they are separate cottages, walking distance to the beach, in Shipyard plantation and it's a gold crown resort.
(Note: I do own at Port O Call, but the above reasons are why I bought there!) I think you also may get free greens fees at Shipyard Golf Course, but you'll need to check to be sure. I know I do as an owner, but I'm not sure if exchangers do..
My second choice would be Waterside, unless you want to be in Sea Pines, then I would take either Swallowtail or Spicebush

Hi,
Going to HH for the first time ... I checked the reviews/ratings.....

Robtug,

I'm confused - If you checked the Tug Reviews and Ratings would mean you're a Tug Member, yet you're still listed as a Guest. Did you just not update your onlline profile?

Re your list of choices - if you want to be in SeaPines Plantation without having to pay the $5 entry fee for each visit then Swallow Tail or SpiceBush would fit the bill. This would also allow bike riding on the SeaPines bike trails without paying the extra fee.

All the Spinnaker properties are good - check to determine if you're entitled to golf discounts on their courses.

I wouldn't worry to much about the Gold Crown/Silver Crown distinction for these properties.

I would take the 3 BR Port O Call. We stayed there, and really liked it.

I am member, however, I seem to have different username to access the member only area.
As far as tug ratings are concerned...
EGRET POINT shows the highest rating of 8.61
Spinnaker 8.35 and
PORT O'CALL 8.23
Of course its tempting to go with 3 bedroom as there is more room and you can bring extra people (if you want to). I don't know much about Sea Pines Area as I have never been there. Thus the reason I am looking for input from those with experience as to why one place is better option than another.
