Hi Hilton Gang,

I just got a call from HGVC offering me a 3 day / 2 night stay in a studio unit at a Hilton Timeshare on the Las Vegas strip for $249 plus taxes and an obligation to sit through a 2 hour timeshare pitch.

I told the Hilton guy that just last weekend, I was able to book via Priceline a studio unit with a kitchenette that had a real “Sub-Zero” mini-fridge (Ou-la-la) at the Trump Las Vegas for $60/night, and I didn’t even have to sit through any pitches.

He put me on hold, and then another guy popped on and said that he would sweeten the HGVC pitch deal to $107 all in, plus give me $50 in gambling credits.

I need another timeshare like I need another hole in my head, so I respectfully declined.

I just wanted to let you know that the terms of those timeshare tour deals are negotiable.

FYI,
-nodge

Thanks for that.
I believe that accepting compensation so someone can display their "wares" to me is kind'a like prostitution. Given that, I should be compensated at least as well as a high-priced call-girl. But if they won't pay that price, they can move on down the street.
