HGVC & RCI - Experts Please?

I am a 5 year HGVC owner and I am considering booking through RCI for the first time for my vacation. I am deeded on the strip in Vegas and I would like to know if you have any tips or hints when it comes to going through RCI? How to get the most value based on my HGVC ownership, and things I should BOLO for. I'd like to check out some of the resorts in the Caribbean, or perhaps Mexico. (Besides the FAVC resorts)

Your thoughts?

As you must know, it matters not where you are deeded, only if you have the points.
Just use the RCI portal in the member's website (My Club>RCI Resorts>Reservations)
to do an Exchange search with whatever criteria you desire. Keep your criteria broad
enuff and you should find several options.

When looking at resorts in those two areas be aware of the all-inclusive mandatory resorts, these can come with huge fees. When searching RCI I like to limit the search to resorts that are not all-inclusive mandatory.
