For those of you that have recently stayed at the HGVC Las Vegas, on the strip, can you tell me if you heard alot of noise from the construction?
I have 2 units on hold at the resort and have read the reviews and haven't read about the construction noise that I have seen here on the board.
All the reviews seem to be great - I know there are also great reviews on the HGVC at the Hilton. It's just the HGVC LV has 2-2BR units available and the other does not.
Thanks for the help, this will be our first trip to LV with friends and hoping to make it the best trip possible!
Any thoughts and suggestions on things to do are greatly appreciated!

I was there in November and the noise was terrible. It started at 3AM!!!! The problem is there is ongoing construction at the property..and also next door and across the street.

We were in a unit on the southernmost side of the buidling facing the strip . I had them change the unit to one closer to mid building and it was much better.

I am planning on returing in July and hope the situation is better...but definitely will ask for a similar mid building unit.

We will be there the end of November this year. I just want to make the right choice, my friends are coming along and I don't want the noise to ruin it for everyone.

I was there in October and they were doing quite a bit of work on the condos next door. However I was on the 18th floor and could not hear a thing. I would ask for a room up high and you probably won’t hear the noise.

By the way, it is a wonderful property.

I was staying thier last September and the noise was not to bad at that time! We had a room near the Elevators, on the tenth floor!

I was there a month ago (beginning of February) and they started making loud noise at 4AM! I'm sure it could be heard in all units as they were working just to the south of the rear stairs (on the ground). Why they had to start this at 4AM I have no idea.

Personally, I would pass on staying here during the week days until they are finished unless I had no other option..

4AM is pretty normal start time for construction in/near the Strip, so that it doesn't impede traffic at the busiest times. In the summer high iron work begins at midnight

In residential areas construction begins at 6AM. Most of the construction work done is finished no later than 2PM, except for landscapers.

We are going on the first Sunday of November. When should we make our request for a high floor, mid building?

We are going the last Sunday in November and I'd like to know the answers to this question too. The parking as well, can anyone help us out?
Thanks.

I self parked around the back of the resort. They charge for valet parking. Guess its because they have no casino..but it annoyed me that they charged for it.

How is the parking?
The parking wasn't that great when we stayed there several months ago. I suggest that when you check in, drive up to the entrance and unload your luggage. One of you can stay with the bags while the other one parks the car. The parking lot is behind the buildings and it can be a long walk and then up a flight of stairs to enter the lobby--not much fun with luggage.
