I totally agree with what you are saying here. My position, which I have stated a number of times here at TUG is: If you need or want a car why stay in Honolulu, go to another Hawaiian Island. They are different, beautiful and great. Why fight the traffic and the parking challenges in Honolulu.

There is a courtesy van for Kingsland, Kohala Suites and bay Club that runs every 20 minutes. It stops at Waikoloa Resort, Kings Shop and Queens Market. Get off at the King Shops for Marriott which is right across the road.
