Has anyone come across developer pricing for Hilton Head Island?

I would perhaps be interested in an upgrade from 5,000 Vegas to 7,000 at HHI if reasonable should they do current to current rate difference.

I have not heard if they are selling HHI yet, but the press release announcing the resort mentioned occupancy in early 2016. Therefore i would think they would either be already selling or selling very soon.

Obviously as new resort, the only sales will be direct from the developer. Yes, HGVC will accept your current unit or units back as trade-in. If you purchased direct from Hilton in the past, they will give you full value towards a higher point contract.

Thanks Flyerguy. We did buy resale, but I would consider if they were to upchange the difference between the current for both sites. Otherwise, perhaps we just wait a few years for the resales to start showing up.

I have heard that HGVC will frequently buy back resale deeds as well. Not sure what kind of deal they will offer.

They offered me exactly what I paid for my resale. $1. for one of them, $100 for one of them and $1,000 for the most expensive one. My idea was to cut down on the annual dues, but even with selling them all back to Hilton towards a single contract, the cost of buying retail was much more than having several MFs due every year. I only crunched the numbers out 10 years because I don't plan on timesharing much longer than that.

They offered me the original developer's price of my resales for trading in against a new contract to consolidate into more points with one MF. But the retail cost of what I'd have to buy was more than I wanted to spend.

They offered us full retail price for our unit, even though we bought resale.

However, even with full-freight credit, the $$ they wanted from us was far more than
the resale price for the same package. We said no, several times, until they let us go.

This is what we would hope for, and with a variance of $8K or so to tradefrom 5,000 pts to 7,000 pts I would have seriously considered. HHI is the location I have been asking them to add for about 8-10 years.

Funny thing is... they guy at the desk at Seaworld said because I purchased resale, I did not qualify to attend the owners update. This after someone calling 4 times in two hours upon arrival to try and get us to attend.

The first thing I do when I get through the door is unplug the phones in the room.

Two reasons :

1. Have a toddler who can and will pick them up and dial random numbers. ..

2. Have a cell phone so I don't need those phones and I don't expect any calls comming to me to be BENEFICIAL to me.
